Doctor Mozart Music Theory Workbooks are Colorful, In-Depth, and Appealing.
In an ideal world, your child would have a music lesson every day. In reality, most children get just one short lesson a week. What happens between lessons? Is your child enthusiastic about doing theory homework? Is your child getting the theory foundation needed for long-term success with music lessons?
Sometimes, you must wish for a music theory tutor to help your child along when the teacher is not there. Fortunately, we have the next best thing: A crew of colorful cartoon characters who explain music theory in-depth in an appealing music theory workbook. You can count on them to coach your child with:
- Clear explanations in short, simple sentences.
- Colorful graphics throughout, to help stimulate interest.
- In-depth coverage of all the basics.
- Well-paced exercises to ensure true understanding.
Doctor Mozart Level 1 is ideal for students who are 6 to 12 years old. Some teachers have reported high enthusiasm and success with closely supervised 4 and 5 year olds. In addition, some adult students have enjoyed using Level 1 themselves!

"Just a short note to let you know that as a Certified Teacher of Kelly Kirby Kindergarten Piano,
I have several of my young - 4 and 5 year olds - using the Doctor Mozart Book - They are enjoying it immensely and commend you for your work.
I am also an RCM Senior Examiner, and teach a studio of 30 students, as well as adjudicating."
D.L., Alberta.
"I must tell you - our little ones (Kindergarten and 1st graders) especially love this book. It is so repetitious, but without being redundant.
It is the perfect amount of reiteration that they need to get it into their heads. I'm really impressed with how much they enjoy doing their theory work.
I would say 9 out of 10 times – they don't neglect their Dr. Mozart work. If anything is going to get done during the week - it is their pages in Dr. Mozart."
Lisa, Huntington Center for the Arts, Monroe, LA
"This evening, I just started working with my grandson with the groups of 2 and 3 [black keys on the keyboard] in your theory book.
When we got to the exercises showing 4 blacks or other choices, he laughed. He thought that was so funny. The different number sequences are a good idea."
Lavern H., Nanoose, BC
"I have been searching for a theory book which will enhance the piano student's lessons rather than bore them.
I have also been unable to find theory books which focus on linking the keyboard to the staff.
The Doctor Mozart theory book is filled with everything for which I have been searching.
The pages are colorful, and there are interesting, fun tips that help students retain information in ways not found in the traditional theory books.
I was THRILLED to find that this book has many sections dedicated to helping the student realize with which note each key on the piano is related.
Thank you!"

Questions & Answers about Doctor Mozart Level 1 Using Doctor Mozart with Other Methods
Doctor Mozart theory workbooks can be used alone, or together with other method books. And Level 1 is consistent with the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) and Royal American Conservatory Preliminary theory requirements.
Why Do Doctor Mozart Workbooks Cost More?
We have gone to great lengths to ensure that our music theory workbook will appeal to your child. Printed in color throughout on high-grade white paper, with a durable laminated cover, and filled with friendly characters, your child will be pleased to own and use it.
At 9 x 12 inches, Doctor Mozart is the standard size for theory workbooks. However, Level 1 has 96 pages, which is two to three times as long as comparable theory workbooks from the major music publishers. At this length, and in color throughout, the price of Doctor Mozart music theory workbooks represents an excellent value.
You will appreciate the value of this high quality workbook even more when you see how it helps stimulate your child's enthusiasm, and how it helps your child achieve superior results in his or her music lessons. Imagine how much more quickly your child could progress with a better understanding of music theory. Consider how much more enthusiastic your child would feel about playing music. Your child's achievement and success are well worth the few extra dollars spent on a Doctor Mozart music theory workbook.
Created by two Juilliard graduates with more than 20 years of teaching experience between them, Doctor Mozart music theory workbooks stand out for being both in-depth and appealing - a highly effective combination. Doctor Mozart workbooks are for parents and music teachers who understand how important in-depth music theory knowledge is to the success of young music students, and how much easier it is for students to acquire that knowledge when they feel encouraged and enthusiastic.
